Be a part of the Legacy Walk

Amid the hustle and bustle of life on a college campus, it is important there be serene spots where passersby can stop for a moment to rest and reflect. With that in mind, FSU has commissioned stone benches for placement around campus beneath shade trees, along walkways, and near fountains.

These works of art can be permanently linked to members of the University community by special commemorative plaques. Consider this opportunity to etch a lasting "thanks" for:

- Graduates - Students - Faculty - Friends - Family

The stone benches have been designed by local artists (and FSU graduates) Bob and JoAnn Bischoff, and fabricated by students in the Master Craftsman Program at FSU.

Each bench is an original work of art, providing comfortable seating and adding to the rich architectural setting of the campus. The commemorative benches are solidly constructed and designed to withstand the elements and time.

The donation for a commemorative bench includes the cost of a granite plaque to be engraved with the name of the benefactor. Site selection is still available for areas around Westcott, Longmire, Opperman Music Hall, Dodd Hall, Landis Green, the Pepper Center, and dormitory row. Click here for an interactive map of available locations (http://craft.fsu.edu/bench/bench.html)
